Tanoura dance is traditionally associated with Desert Safari. Tanoura is a wide-spread type of folkloric dance which comes from Egypt. In translation from Arabic, Tanoura means skirt. It is very common for this dance to be performed by Sufi men continuously spinning around like the dervish dancers from and Turkey. By nature, Tanoura music is religious and the dancers aim at reaching their spiritual inner purity and enter a trance state when dancing.
